If you already have a job in the United States and are looking for a sponsor to provide you with visa documents, medical insurance and support, please call or email us and let us know what that job.

Please note that students who do not hold EU, UK or Turkish passports will most likely need to travel to their home country to apply for a US visa.

For students studying in Cypriot and Greek universities interested in the Work and Travel program, please go to this website: www.applimates.com.  The Work and Travel program is currently available only for Turkish, EU or UK passport holders.

What is an Internship and a Traineeship?

An Internship gives students the opportunity work in the United States for up to fourteen months and is for students who are still studying at an accredited university or college in Cyprus, or who have just graduated in the last 8 months.  Students must begin their internship before 12 months has elapsed since graduation.  Students with either a Bachelors degree or a masters degree can apply but only for the same field as their studies.

Traineeship

These are for working professionals who wish to gain work experience with an American company in the United States.  Applicants must  have at least one year of work experience in the field in which they want to train in the U.S.  Traineeships can be for as long as 20 months.

Both the Internships and Traineeships are paid for jobs longer than 6 months.

Applicants should email us their C.V. and a cover note explaining they type of job they seek.  Please note most of the jobs are for business students and hospitality students but we offer other fields also.  Medical and Engineering jobs are not available.    Once you email us, we can give you the fees to apply since they differ depending on the need of the applicant.

Self-placed

Students or professionals who already have a job can apply to us for sponsorship.  However ,the employer must complete a training plan and this must be approved by our partner in the U.S. (CIEE)

CIEE has suggestions on how to secure an internship.   https://www.ciee.org/in-the-usa/research-training/intern-professional-training/for-interns/find-internship . CIEE also keeps a list of available internships on their website http://available-internships.ciee.org/. We have had students secure internships through these suggestions so please do not be discouraged! We have also had students secure job placements through their universities in Cyprus so please also speak to your professors.  We have also had students who have just located companies in the U.S. through their own searches.
